Purpose

This explains how to get your computer setup with Microsoft's Visual C++ 2005 IDE (integrated development environment) and compiler. It also explains how to get to the wxPack wizard from within Visual C++ 2005.

Steps

Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 from the distribution CDs/DVD by following there instructions.
Install wxPack and it will integrate wxWidgets right into Visual C++ 2005.
Open Visual C++ 2005 and select 'File->New->Project...' from the menu.
Choose the wxWidgets project type.
Follow the wizard to create your new project.

Using Visual Studio to watch the outputs window. All of the dlls will be listed as they are loaded. This is a bit tedious but it will tell you exactly what ones are important.
Using Dependency Walker to view the exact list of dependencies.
